Interview Process

After completing the mock Interview, I felt that it went well. Unfortunately, technical difficulties led to a slow internet connection and a delay in communication. It almost felt as I wasn't "there" in real-time, but I was still able to communicate with the interviewer.

I prepared for the interview by researching the "company" that I would be interviewing for, as well as reviewing the articles that were posted to Blackboard. Most things went as expected, with the exception of the technical difficulties. I was surprised that she asked what three things that I was looking for in a job.

At the time of my interview, things were a little crazy, as my family was coming home from school. So, I completed the interview on my bed because that was the only quiet place in the house. If I were to complete a Zoom interview in the future, I would do my best to avoid doing that.

In the process, I believe it would be helpful to be honest with the interviewer about any technical difficulties and to be honest about your strengths and weaknesses. I felt comfortable in the interview, and I know that it serves me well to keep my anxiety to a minimum and just be myself.
